Jon Rubin
Jon Rubin has more than 30 years experience in the public relations, political and legislative process. Jon worked in three Presidential campaigns, numerous state and local campaigns and served as Political Director of the California Democratic Party and as Chief of Staff to State Senator Quentin Kopp, the Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee.
As a writer and designer, Jon is responsible for award winning public relations and advertising campaigns for such clients as: the San Mateo County Community College District, City College of San Francisco, CalTrain, SamTrans, Radisson Hotels, Costco, The First National Bank of Northern California and the City of South San Francisco. Jon's work has been recognized with Pollie awards from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), a Crystal Communicator Award and a Silver Medallion Award from the National Association for Marketing and Public Relations.
Jon has extensive experience in transportation. He served on the CalTrain Joint Powers Board and presently represents the Mayor of San Francisco on MTC (The Metropolitan Transportation Commission), where he is Vice Chair. In 1997, Jon was appointed to the Bay Bridge Design Task Force and the Transbay Terminal Design Panel. He also serves on the Bay Area Tolling Authority. Jon is a recipient of the Silver Spike award for contributions to public transit.
