Jon Kaufman

Mr. Kaufman is Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, at Solem & Associates, a leading public relations and public affairs firm in the Bay Area. Mr. Kaufman oversees public relations programs for the agency's corporate clients, heads Solem's public opinion research practice, SA|Opinion Research, and serves on the agency's management committee. He has been with Solem since 1979.

Mr. Kaufman specializes in public affairs for clients in the areas of real estate development, heavy industry, energy and other fields where public policy and public opinion affect the business community. His work includes preparation and execution of opinion research programs and communication campaigns for client projects. He provides public relations counsel in major regulatory, environmental and crisis communication situations.

Mr. Kaufman has degrees from Carleton College in Minnesota and the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, where he was an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in public administration and metropolitan studies. Following graduation, he served as a VISTA volunteer in Brooklyn, New York. He currently serves as a board member for two nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area.
