Former Washington Post political reporter; member in good standing of Nixon's Enemies List--also former director of Washington Journalism Center. Author of "Taxpayers' Hayride and Arms","Money and Politics". Contributor to several other books. Contributor also to New Leader, The Reporter, Harper's, Atlantic, New York Times Magazine, And Washingtonian. Began journalism career in 1942 at age 17 as copy boy for St. Paul Pioneer Press; Nieman Fellow, Harvard; Sigma Delta Chi Distinguished Service Award for Washington correspondence. Covered political figures from Hubert Humphrey and Harold Stassen when they first ran in the 1940's to Ronald Reagan and George Bush I. Have extensive collection of political buttons and small collection of Big Little Books.
